Gavray Drive: Flowers all cut off before they could seed

Reported via desktop in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 11:44, Wednesday 21 July 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

See roadvergecampaign/ management-guidelines Explains how to manage roadside verges for wild flowers. Gavray Drive is bounded by a Local Wildlife Site 52W01 (Gavray Meadows) on the north and thick shrubs on the south side. No houses abutt onto its verges. WHY do you keep cutting the grass to 1mm? This practice destroys wildflowers and the insects which they harbour which feed birds.
