This road is in a terrible state of disrepair. It is particularly bad where the bus shelter is on this stretch of road. You either have to swerve right into the verge to avoid the worn away road, or if nothing is coming the other way, venture partly onto the other side of the road to avoid this road defect.
It's been like it for months now.
Surface dressing (loose chippings) has taken place on other nearby roads, that were in a less poor state than this part of the A417. Why wasn't this done at the same time?

Why do I bother? Just how long does it take to "investigate" a failed road surface?
