This is a small/compact roundabout which should have adequate forward/circulatory visibility for vehicle users. At the moment there is extensive established weed/bush growth on the central island obstructing vision, making the vision substandard (see CD 116 - Geometric design of roundabouts) and increasing potential for injury accidents. The surrounding shared footway/cycletrack is also severely obstructed by uncontrolled hedge growth. Unfortunately, several other small roundabouts in the Abingdon area also suffer from poor vegetation control (eg. Tesco junction on Marcham Road) so remedial action is needed urgently.
