Pavement in terrible condition, trip hazard in Cranbrook Drive
Reported via desktop in the Pavements category anonymously at 12:22, Tuesday 20 July 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Much of the pavement in Cranbrook Drive is in a terrible state, with deep ruts and crumbling tarmac. This has proved to be a trip hazard for my children already and it is getting worse. The ruts and damaged surface make pushing a pram nearly impossible in parts., so I can only imagine how difficult it would be for wheelchair users etc.

Thank you for your report. I have visited the site you pinpointed on the map, in front of 14-16 Cranbrook Drive and assessed it, but couldn't find the 'trip hazard' and 'deep ruts' you refer to, see photos. The 'damaged - crumbling tarmac' footway, at this location, however, unfortunately, doesn't meet our current intervention criteria so I cannot arrange a repair. If you could be more specific about the exact location, in Cranbrook Drive, of, and pinpoint the defects you refer to, please open a new report and we will visit and assess. We will continue to monitor this site during our routine inspections. I am therefore closing this report.
