Inappropriate dropped kerbs on apex of bend
Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 13:55, Fri 16 July 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later
There are two dropped kerbs at the junction that could allow a visually impaired person to unknowingly enter the road in front of vehicles turning into or out of the junction. There is an indented uncontrolled crossing point at the junction but the tactile surfaces are overgrown with weeds causing a tripping hazard. The pavement radius is also overgrown with weeds, that would cause a trip hazard to the visually impaired when trying to navigate to the crossing point. This is likely to become an even more hazardous junction to pedestrians once the Church Road closure comes into effect on the 19th July and large vehicle are diverted into St James Road.
