Street light NOT repaired
Reported via mobile in the Street lighting category anonymously at 23:36, Thu 15 July 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
I reported this street light on West End not working a few weeks ago. You updated the report saying it had been repaired. It has NOT been repaired and is still not working. How this can happen I fail to understand. And it’s infuriating to have to report it again! I hope you haven’t paid council tax payers money to someone to fix it! I believe you noted it as asset 064401 - whether or not this is correct I have no idea. What I do know is that it is attached to house number 28. Please can you actually get it fixed.

Is there any update on this? More than a week has passed since I reported it a second time and it is still not repaired.

Errr. Another week has gone by. Still not fixed and no reply to my query a week ago asking why there has been no progress.

This is going on far too long. I have reported this twice online since May. That has got me nowhere. Three weeks ago I called the council and reported it over the phone. I was told it would now get fixed. Still no progress. Also no one ever replies on this site. Is it monitored? Is any real work actually getting done?

Still nothing has happened. This is totally hopeless.

On the 16th July you acknowledged this fault. (That after I first reported it in March when it was claimed to have been fixed two weeks later, which it wasn’t.). Your reply on the 16th July said it would be fixed within 7 days. It wasn’t and it still hasn’t. I called last month and again was told it would be fixed. Do you think people just don’t notice when you ignore things like this while frittering away our council tax payments on useless ‘initiatives’ and hopeless people who never get anything done?

Finally! The streetlight has been fixed. It has only taken nearly 6 months, several posts on here, three phone calls and numerous emails to the council.
