Overgrown hedges and Stinging Nettles on Bike Path

Reported via desktop in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 15:09, Wednesday 14 July 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Maintenance is urgently needed on the Bike Path Route 5 in Kennington. The stinging nettles are overgrown and difficult to walk and cycle due to narrow places on the path.

  • Came to report the same thing: overgrowth has narrowed the path in some places to the point where even two cyclists struggle to pass each other.

  • Yes I came to report the same thing. The vegetation is so overgrown in places that it is forcing everyone into the centre of the path, which is effectively single track. I’ve had several near accidents with cyclists and walkers all trying to navigate this area who are all forced into a head on confrontation. This needs fixing ASAP before there is an accident. Thank you.
