Blocked culvert under north verge of Upton close, Henley

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Since 2018 the culvert has been blocked downstream from manhole behind garage of Thornfield Wyndale close causing worrying flooding in the area. Recent investigations carried out by consultants for developers of Premier Inn Hotel (SODC Planning application P21/52618/ful) confirmed "unable to track pipes upstream [from manhole at the end of culvert - see document services removal plan drwg 13884 SK11] due to immediate stoppages.

  • The gullies at this location were cleared in April 2021. The system was left running. Following further reports a team has been tasked to investigate the system beyond the gullies to check the capacity and efficacy of the drainage system at this locations.
