Dying Copper Beech Tree with root decay fungus

Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 13:58, Wednesday 7 July 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

I am concerned about a dying Copper Beech Tree on the corner of Howard Street and Iffley Road - outside 295 Iffley Road, OX4 4AQ. It's crown has been getting sparser over the past few years and now there is a clear decay fungus growing around its base - indicating most likely, a root rotting problem. Please can someone inspect this tree and arrange to have it either reduced in height or felled? I am quite worried that it will topple over one stormy day/night which would be catastrophic to buildings, vehicles and people.
