Parking on junctions and pavements
Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 22:00, Sun 4 July 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
There appears to be consistent poor parking on Thornley close, Abingdon. Cars are parking on the junction on both sides of the road and on the pavements particularly on corners, some are residents and some are Mcdonalds customers hoping to avoid the queues from the restaurant at busy periods. Whilst I appreciate the need to park cars would it be possible to place double yellow lines on junctions and corners to restrict this practice. I have now had 2 near misses in 6 months because of poor parking on this road.

Still no feedback? Poor parking must be a low priority I guess.

Cars parking in either a dangerous position or in such a position as to cause an obstruction of the public highway (including footway) are committing an offence under Section 22 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and can therefore be removed by Thames Valley Police.
