Unsafe manhole a few yards past layby
Reported via desktop in the Manhole category by Christopher Ralph Neal at 19:23, Friday 2 July 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
2 adjacent sets of manholes marked vodaphone. Bix to Nettlebed carriageway. On the set nearer to centre of road the concrete support for the cover is failing and causing the lid to tilt noisily and at risk of collapse. Suggest urgent safety inspection. One of this group had been repaired within the last 12 months or so. Whether the repair has failed of it is a fresh failure I do not know.

This has become much worse. Suggest that it is inspected ASAP. Thank you

I suggest that someone investigate this with the utmost urgency: it seems to get worse every day and if it fails it could cause major damage to a vehicle travelling over it. There could be a serious accident here in the next few days.
