Parked cars blocking road and junction
Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 12:36, Friday 2 July 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Since the posts were put up in Westbrook (March 2021) to prevent vehicles parking on the paved areas there are more vehicles parking along the entrance to this street and at the junction. This means you cannot turn into this street on the correct side of the road or see if there are oncoming vehicles. When vans or trucks park along this road it reduces the road width significantly and would prevent access to Westbrook and Wiles Close for large emergency vehicles.

Thank you for you report, the posts put along this street have not been installed via ourselves, this may have been done by the housing development themselves. Therefore for any information about the posts you will have to contact them and with regard to the parked cars obstructing the visibility, this is a matter for Thames Valley Police.
It should be noted that if a vehicle is parked in either a dangerous position or in such a position as to cause an obstruction these are offences under Section 22 of the Road Traffic Act 1988, this legislation is enforced by Thames Valley Police.
