The construction of a pedestrian crossing seems to have been abandoned for months. Part of pavement and drop to the road is blocked, making it difficult/ dangerous to cross or join the cycle path.

  • Dear Mr Cronin,

The reason these traffic signals have not been repaired, is that all the equipment is due to be replaced by another development scheme into the adjacent land. This was due to start 18 months ago, but got delayed by COVID and a couple of other issues. We now have a technical submission for this new development. The traffic signals will be replaced soon, but we cannot provide a timescale yet, as we are in the process of carrying out the technical audit for the design.

    Kind regards
    Road Agreements Team
