Dangerous hole in the pavement - someone could break their ankle!
Reported via mobile in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 15:56, Sat 19 June 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
On the right hand side of James Street (when you are approaching the junction with the Cowley Road), a few yards before the phone box, there is a deep hole in the pavement, maybe 9 inches in diameter. If someone were to put their foot in it in the dark, this could result in serious injury. Obviously a serious hazard for a blind person, too. I first noticed this hole more than 10 days ago.

There was an attempt to fill in the dangerous deep hole with tarmac, quite quickly after I posted the message. However, the repair is not satisfactory, since there is still a shallow hole which might cause problems, especially since it is very close to the exit from a pub.
