Pavement ruptured into large mounds

Reported via desktop in the Pavements category anonymously at 08:28, Wednesday 16 June 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This has been fenced round so thank you, work looks imminent. Unfortunately this is a failed recent repair (was repaired around 6 months ago) so to save council money and workers time - please note that there used to be a large tree at this exact place. The recent repair failed as it was repaired with tarmac just on earth without support under.

  • Accountability for poor workmanship and doing the job right the first time is key here. It's like when pot holes, or dips are repaired on roads/pavements. Whomever is responsible for the paint markings around a repairable area, does not mark a little outside of the needed repair at the time, therefore the close edges start to decay and erode soon after the repair is done.
