Pothole/subsiding road - causing severe disruption

The subsiding road/pothole is a significant issue and one that needs addressing as a matter of urgency.
Increasing numbers of heavy goods vehicles, busses, articulated lorries and vehicles with trailers, combined with the warmer weather are causing this issue to worsen on a daily basis as the crack in the road is expanding. Vehicles drive that cross this part of the road cause our entire house to shudder. This is becoming more severe over time: windows rattle; beams creak and make disturbing cracking noises; and our possessions have become dislodged from shelves.
Having consulted our neighbours (including those whose properties are approx. 70m away from the road) we understand that this is a significant concern of theirs as both their entire properties and items mounted on walls and shelves are disturbed every time a heavy vehicle passes.
There are two aspects, in particular, which we should be grateful if you could please take into account:
1) any structural damage or damage to possessions in our or our neighbours' properties will have arisen as a direct consequence of this pothole/subsiding road. This is an issue that you have been notified about on a number of occasions.
2) the significant disruption to our and our neighbours' quiet enjoyment of our properties will also have arisen as a direct consequence of this pothole/subsiding road. This is an issue for at least 6 properties in the neighbouring area. I will happily make enquiries with other neighbours in order to ascertain whether this is an issue for them too.
We politely request a meeting with your highways assessor, when they come to inspect the issue and reserve our legal rights.

Thank you for your enquiry. I have visited the site and assessed the problem that you have identified. Unfortunately it does not meet our current intervention criteria so I cannot arrange a repair. We will continue to monitor this during our routine inspections. Regards
