Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Strong smell, (rotten eggs) Coming from main surface water drain. (double drain lid in centre of road, in front of garage of 3 Stour Close). Thames Water attended last week, as I thought that it was a sewer issue. Thames Water advise that the surface water drain is highways responsibility. Sewer checked and no smell, surface water drain lid lifted and smell is confirmed from this area. Smell is intermittent but strong, can be smelt indoors in bedrooms if windows are open. Smell evident for 2 weeks approx now. Gullys were cleaned 2 weeks ago, not sure if this is related.

As we have had heavy rains since your report and my first step would have been to have the system flushed, I am closing this report. However if you find there is still a smell coming from these twin covers please raise a new report then I will request a Technician carry out further investigations.
