Many large potholes causing problems accessing properties on the bridleway leading to Sydenham. This includes very deep holes that vehicles have to negotiate when leaving the the B4009, which necessitates slowing down a lot more than the vehicles behind are expecting. Near misses have occurred. It is surely just a matter of time before there is an accident here.

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Over the last two years there have been two major mains water leaks from the Thames Water pipes close to the junction with the B4009. On one occasion the B4009 had to be closed to traffic. On each occasion gallons of water have moved the surface layer of stones and washed them away, leaving large potholes behind. It has also damaged the area alongside the edge of the tarmac road, so that large gullies have been created at the junction. Thames Water have denied that the track is in a worse condition following the leaks, and say that they left the area in the same condition that it was in before. This is not the case. This problem affects all four properties that area accessed via this track.
