Double yellow road marking needed

Reported via mobile in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 21:36, Monday 14 June 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Yellow lines are needed on a hazardous bend at the junction of Cotmore Gardens and Towersey Drive. This is a regular route for buses now. Someone parks on the bend so it forces you to go round the bend on the wrong side of the road an accident waiting to happen..

  • The installation of new formal waiting restrictions requires the implementation of a 'Traffic Regulation Order' which involves a long and expensive legal process including full consultation, unfortunately Oxfordshire County Council could not fund such a scheme at this time so third party funding (which is often best secured by the Town Council) would be required.

It should be noted that if vehicles are parked in such a manner as to cause an obstruction of the highway they are committing an offence under Section 22 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and can therefore be moved by Thames Valley Police.

    State changed to: Investigation complete
