Tree branches overgrown onto pathway

Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 22:53, Saturday 12 June 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The tree next to the footpath has overgrown and branches hang down below head height. It’s hard to walk around it as it is right next to the post box, which is on the grass verge. This is a heavy footfall area due to the nearby school and the post box. You have to duck down to get under the tree.

  • We have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. The trees present are on land not deemed to be part of the highway maintainable at public expense by OCC in the County’s capacity as local highway authority. The trees are on land that is maintainable by the Local Town Council and not by the County Council. We endeavour to transfer this enquiry to them; however, you may also wish to contact them directly to pursue this enquiry further.

    Many Thanks for your enquiry.
