Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
I have been trying to deal with this for more than 1 year. Tree outside 8 Cope Road is damaging my house, windows and 2 vehicles daily. The sap has damaged the windows and frames of newly installed windows. The sap is constantly damaging my car and degrading the pain work. The sap has enticed creatures onto my soffits and are rotten as the sticky residue has built up over time. The issues have been present for the 15 years we have lived at the property. After seeking advice the crown should not be as close as it is to the property, the tree is making the path uneven. As residents, we should not have to have to finance damage that is constant to our property due to a tree that produces sap and residue that block my gutters and damage our possesions.

Oxfordshire County Council funds for tree management are limited to health and safety works. The Council is neither obliged by Law, nor will it carry out, works solely to alleviate problems arising from: Falling leaves, honeydew, sap, fruit, nuts, seeds, bird droppings or blossom. We do however look to see if there are any appropriate statutory works we can carry out to the tree on these occasions which may go some way to alleviating the problem. Unfortunately, there are no statutory works appropriate that can be undertaken on this occasion.
Many thanks for your enquiry.
