Cyclists towards Cumnor are straining uphill, wobbling and virtually stationary. Cars are late for work and carrying speed for the hill. The Left-hand bend (coming uphill) is blind. They see the cyclist late, swerve around and meet a car coming fast downhill from Cumnor. They may swerve back and hit the cyclist or be smashed into him or her by the oncoming car. I gave up cycling to work as cars had to lock up to avoid hitting me in this way on two occasions but even being aware of the danger, and so driving safely, I have myself been surprised to meet a cyclist at exactly the wrong spot when driving. Several people cycle this way every morning and I intend to start again tomorrow but I do feel that this spot is a lethal accident waiting to happen. Please can we have a warning sign, a little like the attached photo, on the uphill approach saying 'cycles' and 'blind bend'. It's the only point that has stopped me commuting by bike every day.
