Continuous speeding by all motorists
Reported via desktop anonymously at 14:04, Wed 9 June 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later
Continuous speeding by all motorists due to lack of signs or speed camera.
The A44 through Kiddington has a 40mph speed limit, I would estimate only a handful of motorist stick to the limit - this needs to be sorted before someone is seriously injured or killled. The signage through Kiddington is terrible most people don't even realise its a 40pmh zone
Both Woodstock & Enstone have a 30mph limit with camera's why can't Kiddington have something similar ?

The signing is correct and the Police do carry out enforcement. Unfortunately motorists drive at a speed they feel is suitable for the environment regardless of the posted speed limit. With the wide and open nature of the location, motorists choose to ignore the limit feeling it is inappropriate whereas their speed is the inappropriate factor.
