Approx 60 year old well maintained oak tree in the back garden of number 70. It is an increasingly rare example of a young adult oak tree. Especially one which has been careful managed and cared for by a tree surgeon and could become a veteran tree in future if protected. We are lacking the next generation of veteran trees hence the importance of protecting this one. This tree provides home for millions of insects which helps maintain and promote wildlife biodiversity in the local area. It is at risk should developers purchase the property it sits within.

  • Many thanks for your enquiry.

OCC is the local highway authority and does not administer TPO applications. This is carried out by our colleagues at Cherwell District Council, who are the local planning authority. Any application to make a preservation order should be made directly to them.
