I have already raised a case in the 25th May stating the bridge structure is crumbling and a safety risk but amazingly when it was inspected today, the same day I have taken these photos it seems to have been closed with no necessary repairs?

As the village councillor I would like to review the safety report that deems this as an acceptable conclusion.

I look forward to hearing a more detailed review of the case as a matter of urgency.

  • There now appears to be a vertical crack form the river side of the damaged stanchion and railings on the north side of the bridge. The footpaway is being broken up by wide heavy vehicles using the bridge. A structural report is urgently required as the situation is causing local residents concern.
