Several properties having block paving - pallets blocking footways

Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Several properties having block paving installed - people doing work have blocked footways with pallets of blocks. Some of the drives may not meet requirements for vehicle accesses (depth from back of footway to house - 5.2m min.) - in any case a new vehicle access (dropped kerb) requires permission from City Council

Gross lack of parking availability in this "older 30's built" neighborhood. During that period (era), measurement/permit requirements may have been different from what it is nowadays. Even up to the Co-Op, has very little parking availability & pavements are being used for parking, also making them in desperate need of resurface repair. ABOVE IN REFERENCE TO ORIGINAL POST....."Some of the drives may not meet requirements for vehicle accesses (depth from back of footway to house - 5.2m min.) - in any case a new vehicle access (dropped kerb) requires permission from City Council"
If this temporary inconvenience of blocks/upgrade work of being done to better the community and pedestrian safety, then "patience" may be the best avenue here.
Kudos to the residents if they have possibly chosen to handle the upkeep/upgrade. The Council has many potholes, overgrowth view obstruction, sign & light, etcetera repairs to address, some of which take months to be addressed/fixed.
Keep up the much appreciated good work👍👍

Longer term betterment is applauded, but, must not be at the ignoring of standards and process/system that apply to all of us; also in the interim it cannot be acceptable for parents/prams/disabled to have to walk around parked cars in the carriageway because the firm doing the work cannot be bothered to agree a fenced area with the Council, that does not increase this safety risk... The Planning Team should be considering the implication of surface water mitigation of block-paving many drives.
