There are two manhole (?) covers on the High Street in Shipton Under Wychwood by the corner of Ascott Road on the left hand side going towards Chipping Norton by Grove Farm that are not flush with the road surface and are therefore extremely noisy and vibrating especially when oversized heavy vehicles cross them. The sound almost echoes a railway crossing. This is especially noticeable to us as we live on the corner with a bedroom facing the road.
