Overgrown trees and bushes in alleyway between Yarnells Hill and Laburnum Road.
Reported via desktop in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 07:58, Friday 4 June 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The alleyway between Yarnells Hill and Laburnum Road is dangerously overgrown. The Laburnum Road end is the worst with trees and bushes obstructing the pathway and making it difficult to see when using it at night. Not sure if the street light is working as not visible with the overgrowth.

Thank you for your report. I have visited the site you pinpointed on the map, the Larch Close to Yarnells Hill link footpath, see photos, and assessed the issue that you have identified. I have requested 28 day notices be sent to the owners of the properties, whose vegetation is overgrowing this footpath, to cut it back.

This is not just an issue at night. People walking both ways struggle to pass each other at points. Also the path is becoming slippery. Really slippery in wet weather. It is hard to locate the dog poo bin due to the iver growth.

Thank you for your report. I have visited the site again. The overgrown vegetation, obstructing the footpath at this location, has been trimmed or cut back, see photos. I am therefore closing this report.
