Request received for a speed limit to be put in place on Southern Road due to speeding vehicles and proximity to recreation ground, primary school, Guide and Scout huts

  • Thank you for your enquiry about the speed limit around Southern Road, Thame. By virtue of the presence of streetlighting (and no other signing to the contrary) the speed limit here would be 30mph which is typical for residential streets. If vehicles are not obeying this limit then we would suggest contacting Thames Valley Police so that this location can be considered by them for targeted speed enforcement. We trust this assists.
