Temporary traffic lights not removed

Reported via mobile in the Current Roadworks - live information category anonymously at 09:04, Sat 22 May 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

BT replaced a telegraph pole on Thursday 20th May. All works were completed on the 20th. They have not removed the temporary traffic lights as of today 22nd May. The lights are causing traffic to queue outside the pedestrian entrance to my home and are causing a very dangerous situation for me to enter or leave my property.

I have been both blocked in by cars and vans obstructing the entrance to my home and also nearly run over by people accelerating approaching the lights before they change.

I do not believe an appropriate assessment of the hazard created to me or my family was carried out before these lights were erected and as the work completed several days ago it is completely unacceptable that the contractor has not removed them and continued to put me at risk.
