Subsiding road, accident caused

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Recently a large crane tipped over because the road collapsed. This was the second time a large vehicle tipped over. The previous one was a BP petrol lorry. In both cases, the drivers were extremely lucky that they suffered no personal damage. Both of these two “accidents” could have been avoided if the Vale had followed advice from the contractors who were selected to fix a subsiding road. I live directly opposite this spot and spoke to the contractors (Perhaps 5, or so, years ago) who said that the Council chose the cheapest option to “fix” the road but it was not an adequate solution and the problem would occur again, which it now has, Please, do your research and look at the way the road was preciously fixed, and please, do not repair the road in the same way. I would think that the Council could be, therefore. liable for any damage that has happened and would happen in the future. This is a potentially extremely dangerous situation which is exasperated by the blind bend very close by.
