Flooding in road, danger to motorists and property
Reported via mobile anonymously at 19:19, Sun 16 May 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later
Gullies need clearing out as nowhere for water to drain away, severe flooding completely across the road. Property is in danger when cars drive too fast through flood thus sloshing water through our fence. Also danger to motorists as unseen debris in road.

URGENT ROAD CLOsURE NEEDED
Once again road is flooded right across. Road needs to be closed as cars again driving too fast through flood washing water into my property. As you can see water is now in my garden and if rain continues will be in house? As this is due to poor maintenance of gullies I will be expecting council to pay for any damage to my property. There is also risk of damage to cars and accidents as debris has been washed into road and can not be seen under water.

The Old Place, Witheridge Hill, RG9 5PJ. Unfortunately despite the recent works carried out the road has still flooded. I don’t think the gully has been cleared yet but as you can see from the photos it’s flooding from both sides, ditches and gully. I would estimate that so far there has been less rain than when the flooding happened in June.

Flooded again. Water runs downhill into this area from multiple directions. All gullies and ditches are blocked or full so no effective means of removing water from road. After recent works it’s clear that the adjoining ditches are inadequate.
