Continuous water flow across the highway
Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 21:40, Fri 14 May 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
For over a year this water flow has been reported and much said about it being investigated. This year it froze severely caused accidents police also reported to Council the issue. Two cones have marked the spot for over a year but nothing has been done. Two agencies should be involved OCC and Thames water. The highway is effected not only by its erosion of the road surface, but it’s dangerous to all who use it and is a potential liability. Please can this be remedied.

I put a report in about this with pictures, but it has been closed saying it was a duplicate. So adding to this one. I've been over this way a few times in the last week and I think/hope the water has stopped flowing down the road. However there remains several large and deep potholes covering the whole width of the road heading out of Steventon, the only way to avoid them is to swerve to the other side of the road. I had an expensive tyre ripped to shreds by having to drive over another pothole a couple of years back so I don't want to have to pay out on more tyres. So can the potholes be clearly marked and then fixed please.

Excellent news, a decent area of the road here has been resurfaced and the pot holes here are gone. Also I haven't seen any sign of the constant flowing water for a few weeks now. Looks promising.
