Cyclists’ early start signal not properly visible
Reported via iOS in the Traffic Lights (permanent only) category by Graham Smith at 13:30, Friday 14 May 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The angle of visibility for people waiting in the ASL is difficult and almost impossible to see. I have found that I need to be far back in the ASL, and even leaning backwards to see the light changing. The result is that many cyclists wait for someone else to start off. This delay is inconvenient for other traffic and could increase danger fir people cycling.
The approach has advance cycle green aspects on both the primary and secondary signal poles. To help with visibility the hood on the secondary signal which is further away from the stop line has been changed.
State changed to: Fixed
