Overflowing/flooding of the drain

Reported via desktop in the Drainage category anonymously at 12:11, Thursday 13 May 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Every time it rains, this drain floods. The drain is at the edge of the road outside 39 Lashford Lane. The water covers a substantial part of the road. This causes pedestrians to get wet (splashed by cars) and reducing the traffic to one way (as many cars stop to pass on the other side of the road). This has been an issue for at least the last two years.

This still has not been fixed. Due to the blocked drain, excess water is running across the road and down a drive way. It is carving channels in the shingle layer and has to be raked back every time. Apart from the fountain ejected from each passing car it must be considered a road hazard as the stand water is on a bend. I attach a couple of pictures just after a moderate rain burst.
