Temporary traffic lights causing traffic
Reported via desktop in the Current Roadworks - live information category anonymously at 18:25, Wed 12 May 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
There have been temporary traffic lights placed on the bridge (Bridge Street, Abingdon) outside the Nag's Head pub. The lights have been there for almost a week with no roadworks being done throughout the day. There has been one car parked behind the lights a couple of times. The temporary lights in the morning are causing traffic backing up through (and round) the town and up the Vineyard. Often, the Vineyard lights can be green but traffic is at a standstill and no one can get through. On an evening, it is causing traffic backing up to Culham, which is also a diversion route from the bridge at Sutton Courtenay being closed for a month.

Mon 6th Sept - 'temporary' traffic lights are out of sync at both morning rush hour and afternoon from 4pm - AGAIN. It's causing all of the roads around Abingdon to once again be blocked. There are multiple reports on all social sites for Abingdon about people being severely late for their work / appointments etc. Can somebody please fix this issue, it's causing real problems.
