Poor lighting following replacement head unit
Reported via desktop in the Street lighting category anonymously at 09:43, Tue 11 May 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Previous logged but has since been closed, but not by me,so re-logging again as new light is rubbish. The old yellow light was replaced with a white led light. The spread and coverage of the new light is no where near the level of the old light. It needs replacing with a higher lumen value or an extra lamp post installed as the the current light does not even reach house nos 8,9. Most residents are in their 70's/80's so good lighting helps prevent falls/trips. With current light it's a burglars dream. It might be good as a footpath light but is not a street lamp.

Sorry regarding the issue here, i think as the old lantern was a different style the light isnt getting to the same areas, ive ordered a lantern called a TRT Challis which is the same style as the one before just an LED equivalent. The older style is unfortunately obsolete now. As soon as this arrives i will arrange for it to be fitted, apologies again for the inconvenience this has caused.

A new lantern/head,different to the standard led type, was eventually fitted ,last year, which was brilliant 2 days ago they replaced all 4 lamposts, with led heads. So now back to the original problem of dim light around No.4. Can a TRT Challis be fitted as in previous resolution.?

I'm afraid these new led lights are useless, especially no.4. You cannot see the 2 houses at the end of road on a dark night, let alone the kerb.
