Dangerous dead trees

Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 15:46, Monday 3 May 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

I have reported the row of dead trees in front of 2 Manor Fields on two occasions. 15th Jan 2020 and 24th March 2020. Ref number 1938541. At around 3pm today when I was unloading my shopping from the back of my car. I hear a loud crack and a tree immediately a fell towards me. It missed me but hit my neighbour's car. This is the second time this has happened. It also just missed a car coming down the hill. OCC have confirmed they are responsible for these trees. Are they waiting for a death to action this hazard?

  • This feels like complete incompetence, the problems with these dead trees have been reported multiple times, with no action taken other than to be told it was a highways matters and that residents or the parish were not allowed to do any maintenance work.

These trees have been falling in front of my house for the past 2 years and we the residents are left dealing with them when we get strong winds.
