Confusing road markings / illegal parking

Reported via mobile in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 17:23, Thursday 29 April 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The road markings outside the dentists on Castle Street, Wallingford are confusing . The road has double yellow lines but there is also a faded white marked parking bay . This could be causing confusion .....!

Cars are constantly parking on these double yellow lines outside the dentists causing problems with backed up traffic at the crossroads traffic lights and disabled access impossible for the patients at the dentist .

  • Thank you for your report. At this moment in time, parking on the double yellow lines in Wallingford can only be enforced by Thames Valley Police and they can be contacted on their 101 number. That said I can understand why the faded bay markings could cause confusion, making this section difficult to enforce. I have made the Traffic Team and the Team working to refresh lines ready for civil enforcement that is expected to start at the end of this year so they are able to get these removed. This report is now closed.
