Two bollards missing from railway bridge pavement

Reported via desktop by Penelope Marcus at 12:55, Wednesday 28 April 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later

Case 2630982. On 24 March I reported that a bollard had been knocked over and was lying by the side of the pavement, obviously there to be reinstalled. The reply on 6 April was that OCC have assessed and made safe, therefore no action. Unfortunately, OCC have not made it safe, they have removed the bollard that was knocked down, and not placed it up again or put up another one. Ten bollards were installed in 2018 to ensure the safety of pedestrians and cyclists using the narrow pavement from passing traffic. One bollard was knocked over several years ago, and not replaced. There is now a large gap where two bollards are missing, so that the pavement is unsafe for users. Hanborough Parish Council contributed a large sum for the cost of the ten bollards and their installation. Please take action by replacing both bollards - the location is not safe without them.

They are now four or five missing bollards. For three of them, the base plate is still in place, resulting in a significant trip hazard at the edge of a busy road.
