Gravel resurfacing causes yet another crash

Oxford’s habit of pouring gravel onto roads to self heal has caused another car crash. Last year when you did chiselhamptom hill a car crashed and on Thursday night a car came off the road and crashed. This stuff is also horrifically dangerous for cyclists as you have to ride through deep drifts of gravel. Is the plan to wait for someone to die and then re-think? This technique doesn’t last so you aren’t saving money in the long term / just do it properly.

I see for the pile of gravel in the laybay in Stadhamptom the plan is to just carry on with this approach. Fine for some (bicycle free) heavy traffic roads - but super dangerous for ones like this. Just fix the roads properly over a slower schedule if money is the question.
