Yew Tree Blocking Pavement

Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 20:35, Thursday 22 April 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

As reported over a year ago, a yew tree from the Manor is blocking the pavement. I was told this had been reported to the owner that they need to cut it back but this still hasn’t happened. This is dangerous as people have to use the road rather than the pavement. If the owner is unwilling to cut it back themselves, perhaps the council should do it and bill them

  • We have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. The overhanging trees present are on land maintainable by the adjacent landowner and not by the County Council. We have sent correspondence to the landowner, detailing the problem and advising that they carry out remedial works to resolve the situation.

    Many Thanks for your enquiry.
