Trees are mature mostly sycamore. At least 40 years old the 2 at rear of 100 to 103 Portway. Never been properly cut back only couple branches when reported over 8 years ago to OCC Highways. Tree canopy blocks light to properties, encourages damp , litchen & moss growth on properties. Roots evasive , lifted tarmac on public footpath creating trip hazards, Winter leaves freeze or when raining cause slip hazard on incline. Pedestrians especially Drayton Academy users avoid path and have created a bare walkway on grass away from trees. Also cracks to paths & shed foundations. Autumn leaf fall creates slip hazard , path & road . Issues with car parking due to sap in Spring & large leave fall Autumn. Residents prefer to park cars near 1 Portway opposite side of Portway. These trees have been reported before and recently Cherwell Council. Only odd branch was cut back. The houses were built before trees planted and clearly provide safe place for wildlife. The size they would grow into was not taken into consideration.
