Wooden Footbridge over brook rotting - timbers snapped.

Reported via desktop anonymously at 21:27, Tuesday 13 April 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later

Wooden Footbridge over brook rotting - timbers snapped.

You can see the timbers beneath have given way.

The first right hand side of the textured wearing course boarding really gives away when coming from the north side, creating a bit of a lip.

Also a pothole - in the same area where the first problem is.

  • This is a regular route and needs fixing urgently.

  • Police-like tape to stop pedestrians from crossing has been added - people are breaking the tape and walking through.

Some more robust fixed fencing and footpath diversion signs are required.

Otherwise somebody is going to put a foot through the wearing course.

  • Footbridge over Madley Brook extremely dangerous. Bridge support at joint between wearing sheets completely failed, my foot almost went right through.
