Broken and dangerous gate

Reported via mobile anonymously at 17:06, Sunday 11 April 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later

The gate on the bridleway going over the stream between the crop field and sheep field has broken. The latch has moved and the top rung of the metal gate has sheared off. This is a bridleway frequently used by horse riders, particularly in the Spring/Summer months and the gate is now too dangerous to open when mounted but there are no areas to remount the horse if you dismount to open the gate. Please can this gate be fixed and made more accessible to opening while on horseback.
