Large potholes and dangerous road surface.

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Many of the potholes and poor surfaces between Aston Pottery and the outskirts of the village when heading towards Bampton, have now been marked with white lines indicating that they will be filled in. However just outside the village boundary and before you reach the stone bridge on the corner there are still deep potholes on both sides of the road that are not marked up for filling. Why has this not been dealt with as it is dangerous for bikes and cars and will cause an accident if not addressed. I do not understand how they have not been seen when reviewing the road surfaces, its as if someone could not be bothered to look any further. Action is required please

  • Whilst most of the holes have now been filled there is still a deeply pitted and uneven road surface edge close to the bridge when heading out of Aston towards Bampton. Because of it being so dangerous the bikes need to be ridden in the middle of the road so an accident is not caused. It just needs common sense to fix this and surrounding areas once and for all as it’s not cost effective to keep returning to the same area of complaint.

  • Deep pothole just on the first bend coming out of Aston towards Bampton. Very dangerous for cyclists and motor cyclists but also very likely to damage cars. A lorry was coming towards us and we had no choice but to drive over (in) the pot hole. Needs fixing please asap. Bad accident waiting to happen
