Excessive amounts of road salt on road pollution risk

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category by Steve Gerrish at 10:22, Thursday 8 April 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There seems to have been a lot of salt spread on the road on north bound side of the road only from the station junction northwards at least as far as Bicester Road, Kidlington (where I turned off). There are large amounts of salt scattered into the gutter by the traffic. Next time it rains there will be some highly saline water going into the drains unless it is swept up. I regard this as a pollution risk. I don't know where the runoff goes, but I believe some of it bypasses treatment works.
