Vehicles speeding through Hempton

Reported via mobile anonymously at 09:51, Thursday 1 April 2021

Sent to Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Over the past year or so the volume of HGVs and traffic in general has increased significantly through Hempton. The speed at which vehicles come into the village from Deddington direction is much too fast. A lot of drivers appear to ignore the 30mph signs and only slow down at the pinch point in the centre of the village.

Can some form of traffic calming please be installed at the entrance to Hempton coming from Deddington direction. The noise of traffic speeding through Hempton is becoming unbearable. Please can this be looked at.
