Giveway Signs and Markings Required

Reported via mobile in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 08:28, Tuesday 30 March 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This is a T junction on Langford Locks but there are near misses daily due to no road markings or signs to say who has right of way. People park on the curb all around the corners of the junction and there is a lot of traffic entering and leaving Parcelforce opposite the junction who do not look for other vehicles when they cross.

  • Completely agree. The parcelforce vans speed around the T junction without looking to see if vehicles are approaching the junction. Almost daily near misses. Road markings would make it clear who has right of way and would help in resolving any accident claims should an accident occur.

The cars parking on/around the junction also cause a huge hazard as approaching traffic cannot always see vehicles approaching from around the bend.

  • Thank you for your report. This would be the responsibility of parcel force as the markings leading into their depot are not ours.
