Dangerous young horses - north east of Middle Barton

Reported via mobile anonymously at 16:13, Sunday 28 March 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later

I was running with my partner out of Middle Barton. We came to a field with two brown horses in the field with the path and a dappled grey the far side of an electric fence. We walked through this field giving the two horses a very wide berth. The younger of the two approached us many times and would then back away kicking (front left leg) and bucking. It would then reapproach. The horses were around the gate out of the field. We got cornered by the field shelter and were unable to make it to the gate. Eventually we found a gap in the hedge which we crawled through. We are used to running a through the countryside and have experience of horses. This would have been highly dangerous if there had been older people or young children. The dappled grey horse was separated by electric fencing - such young excited horses should equally be separated from a public footpath.
